Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
More details about the individual lessons…
What is the format and duration of the lessons?
Lessons can be conducted both in-person and online. If you prefer, we can arrange a combined, 2-hour session.
How many lessons will I need to complete the course?
The learning process is structured into two main phases:
- Technical Mastery: First, we focus on mastering the technical aspects of the camera. On average, this takes 4-5 sessions.
- Creative Photography: Once the technical foundation is set, we move on to the art of photography and composition, which typically requires another 4-5 sessions.
Please note: The total number of lessons may vary slightly based on individual learning pace and progress.
What do I need to bring to the lesson?
To make the most of our session, please bring:
- Your camera (ensure the battery is fully charged).
- A notebook and pen for taking essential notes.
What is the schedule for the lessons?
Lessons are scheduled to fit into a busy lifestyle:
- Weekdays: From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the latest.
- Weekends: Flexible timing throughout the day.
Note: Please book your slot a few days in advance to ensure availability.
What does the technical syllabus include?
The curriculum is structured logically to ensure a seamless and comprehensive learning experience.
- RESET & Initial Setup — How to restore factory settings and properly configure your camera.
- Fujifilm App Integration — Connecting your camera to a smartphone for instant transfers and remote control.
- Focus System Mastery — Understanding how the focus system works and mastering focus accuracy.
- Exposure Essentials — The fundamentals of light management for perfectly balanced shots.
- Camera Controls & Buttons — A detailed breakdown of every button and dial on your camera.
- Drive Modes — Exploring different shooting modes and when to use them.
- Flash Settings — Controlling and adjusting the built-in flash for various lighting conditions.
- Film Simulation — An in-depth look at Fujifilm’s iconic film simulations and their unique aesthetics.
- I.Q. (Image Quality) Menu — Deep dive into the image quality settings and advanced color grading.
- Custom Settings & Presets — How to create, edit, and save your own shooting profiles (presets).
- “Q” (Quick) Menu Customization — Personalizing the Quick Menu to streamline your shooting workflow.
Important Note: While we can prioritize specific topics based on your interest (e.g., colors and presets), I highly recommend following the established order. Skipping fundamental technical steps often leads to more confusion and makes the learning process more difficult.
What are the payment terms?
To book your first lesson and confirm your slot, an advance payment is required. You can choose the most convenient option for you:
- Full payment for the entire course;
- Pay-per-lesson (to be completed before the scheduled session).
